Survivor overnight celebration

In connection with National Burn Awareness Week (in February each year) Tompkins Cortland Community College is hosting the Burn Foundation of CNY’s survivor overnight celebration. Children, ranging in ages from 5 to 22, coming from Watertown to Binghamton and Rochester to Utica, will be gathering at the college to reunite with their fellow burn survivors and create new memories with students at the college. The Burn Foundation of CNY brings these children together several times a year so these brave young people can truly get away from the rigors of life. Just imagine having such a visible reminder of a traumatic event. The overnight is a way to heal on the inside. Runs from 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 at TC3.
